Congresswoman Luz Rivas Votes to Release the Epstein Files
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congresswoman Luz Rivas (CA-29) released the following statement after voting to release the Epstein Files to bring justice to survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuses and the truth to the American people:
“I voted to end Donald Trump and Republicans’ coverup, release the Epstein Files to the American public, and bring justice to Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors. The emails released by the Oversight Committee last week is the tip of the iceberg and raised more questions about Donald Trump’s involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. The American people deserve to know why Donald Trump and his enablers have desperately tried to hide the contents of the Epstein Files for so long.
“While the House took a promising step toward holding Donald Trump accountable, it also took a much-needed step toward healing for Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors. I am in awe of the courage of the survivors who were brave to come forward and share their stories, even as Trump and his allies try to silence and discredit them. They deserve justice – and we will continue our fight to make sure they receive it.
“This fight is not over. I will continue to work with House Democrats to hold this Administration accountable and follow through to release the Epstein files – in totality.”
